WNBA Aces-Fever Odds, Picks And Record Attendance With Special Make-A-Wish Moment

The fireworks in Las Vegas will explode a little early when the Indiana Fever and rookie sensation Caitlin Clark try to upset the two-time defending champions Las Vegas Aces July 2nd at T-Mobile Arena. A franchise-record crowd of nearly 18,000 fans is expected to attend Tuesday’s headliner in Las Vegas.

The Aces (10-6) have won 4-straight games since All-Star point guard Chelsea Gray returned to the lineup. She missed the first 12 games since suffering a foot injury in last year’s WNBA Finals. A’ja Wilson (-350) is the prohibitive favorite to win another Most Valuable Player Award while leading the league in scoring (26.9/game), blocked shots (2.3) and second in rebounding (11.1).

The Fever (8-12) lost their first five games and 8-0f-9 to start the season, but have won 5-of-7 the past two weeks while covering the spread in six of those games. Indiana enters off an 88-82 win at Phoenix in front of 17,000 fans with Caitlain Clark nearly hitting a triple-double to help the Fever rally from a 15-point first-half deficit. Clark is the favorite to win Rookie of the Year and she’s averaging 16.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game. Indiana plays their fifth straight road game to conclude their trip before returning home to play the top team in the East New York Liberty July 6.

The Aces (10-6) are just 6-10 against the spread (ATS) this season – tied for fewest point spread wins in the WNBA. The Aces were overvalued to start the season and slow starters, but have now won 4-straight games (3-1 ATS) while scoring at least 85 points in all four contests to increase their league-leading scoring average to 87.8 points per game. That includes an Aces win over the Connecticut Sun, who were 13-1 at the time.

Caitlin Clark is No. 3 in the league in assists (6.9) and leads the WNBA with 56 made 3-pointers on a league-high 162 attempts (34.6%).
