Longtime member of the Rolling Stones Ronnie Wood is not just a fantastic guitarist but also a talented painter, often painting other rock icons. Wood is also offering reproductions of a recent piece he created, a picture of the late vocalist of Queen, Freddie Mercury.

The singer is depicted in the picture, “The Mercury,” with his first raised in the air. He is dressed in the recognizable yellow jacket that he wore to the unforgettable Queen performance at London’s Wembley Stadium in 1986. Freddie is referred to as “one of the greatest singers in the history of rock music” in the portrait’s description. Ronnie’s web store is selling high-quality digital prints of the artwork, which are hand-signed by Wood, for $999. There will only be 250 copies available.

A portion of the prints’ sales revenues will be given to The Mercury Phoenix Trust. After Freddie’s AIDS-related death in 1991, Queen members Brian May, Roger Taylor, and Jim Beach established the foundation in his honor to combat HIV/AIDS globally.

Additional Information About Wood’s Work
In addition, Wood draws portraits of his fellow Rolling Stones members on a regular basis. Furthermore, he is well-known for drawing illustrated set lists for every performance the band plays, which he then sells reproductions of following the event.

One of his most recent works is a painting named “Beat,” which features the late Stones drummer Charlie Watts. Along with prints of the set list he designed for The Rolling Stones’ last performance with Watts, Wood is selling prints of “Beat.” On August 31, 2019, Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida hosted that concert. Ronnie has personally signed and numbered each print. The cost of the two-print bundles is $1,000.

Wood has also released prints of two further brand-new paintings, titled “Pulse” and “Groove.” While just Richards is featured in “Pulse,” “Groove” shows Ronnie and Stones bandmate Keith Richards playing guitar side by side. Each print costs $950 and is individually signed and numbered by Wood.
