Saints Trajan Jeffcoat and Shane Lemieux leave practice with injuries

New orleans DE Trajan Jeffcoat and G Shane Lemieux both went down with injuries today in the second practice of training camp

After injuring his elbow, Trajan Jeffcoat was said to be in tons of pain, resulting in him staying on the ground for an extended period of time and eventually taking the cart back to the locker room. The UDFA pass rusher has had an impressive offseason, and with the preseason approaching and the Saints needing some more production from the D-Line, Jeffcoat could make the most of his opportunity and earn himself a role in the edge rotation.

Shane Lemieux appeared to leave practice early with an ankle injury, per HC Dennis Allen. The former Oregon Duck started one of the four games he appeared in with the new york giantsĀ  in 2023 and could provide some depth for the offensive line after the losses of G Andrus Peat to the Las Vegas RaidersĀ  and G James Hurst who retired after 10 seasons in the NFL.
