Authorities in Argentina have intensified their investigation into the tragic death of Liam Payne, with police reportedly raiding the homes of two hotel workers and a friend of the One Direction singer. According to sources in Buenos Aires, the raids took place on Tuesday night. Officers also searched hotel lockers and reviewed security footage from the CasaSur Palermo hotel. These workers are believed to have had contact with Payne prior to his fatal fall from a third-floor balcony on October 16.
Additionally, a ‘friend’ of the singer has been identified through text messages, and investigators are probing whether they may have provided him with drugs. This individual was not present during the recent raids. These latest searches are the second round following an initial investigation last month, where police seized electronic and paper records, as well as video footage from the hotel’s underground area.
A post-mortem confirmed that Payne died from head injuries sustained in the fall, and traces of cocaine were found in his system. Liam’s father, Geoff, has remained in Argentina and was recently seen paying tribute to his son, laying a red rose at a memorial created by grieving fans outside the hotel.
The family is making preparations for his funeral, expected to take place in his hometown of Wolverhampton. Sources suggest that the ceremony will be a significant event, likely held at a large cathedral, with many people eager to pay their resp
