His eldest sister, Nicola Payne, expressed her profound grief in a heartfelt Instagram post. She recounted the shock of learning about her brother’s death through a news alert on her phone, stating, “I went cold. I wanted so much for it to be untrue.”
Nicola described Liam as “an angel who lived to make people smile and be happy,” highlighting his kindness and the joy he brought to those around him. She emphasized the family’s unwavering support, noting, “We were your biggest fans always and forever.”
In her tribute, Nicola criticized the quick judgments made about her brother based on brief moments, expressing hope that he has “finally found some peace up there.” She also pledged to ensure that Liam’s 7-year-old son, Bear, knows about his father’s love, stating, “We will make sure Bear knows about his daddy and how much you loved him.”
