Carlton has announced a single change to their lineup for the highly anticipated Friday night game against Geelong. Following a victory over Essendon prior to last week’s bye, the Blues are set to kick off Round 15 with the ninth annual AFL Carlton Respects Game, expected to draw another capacity crowd.
Orazio Fantasia makes his return to the team after recovering from an AC joint injury that kept him out of the win over the Bombers. Fantasia’s inclusion comes at the expense of Jack Carroll, who has been omitted from the lineup. This adjustment marks the third game in a row where Carlton has made minimal changes, indicating a stable team configuration.
Fantasia will join Lachie Cowan, Corey Durdin (who was the substitute against Essendon), Elijah Hollands, and Matthew Kennedy on the interchange bench. One of these players will be named as the substitute an hour before the game begins.
Carlton’s Senior Coach Michael Voss has also confirmed that David Cuningham and Marc Pittonet will return from injury by playing for the Carlton Reserves on Saturday. Pittonet has been listed as an emergency for the AFL game, along with Caleb Marchbank and Jesse Motlop.

In anticipation of the game, Coach Michael Voss emphasized the importance of the team focusing on their own game plan rather than being overly concerned with the opposition. The team looks ready and confident to take on Geelong in this important match.
