Aston Villa Set Eyes on World-Class Dumfries

Unai Emery has led Villa to a remarkable season, and they are one win away from finishing in the top four and qualifying for the Champions League next season.

Emery will benefit greatly from the summer in terms of adding to the squad, even if they do not finish in the top four.

And, after spending heavily in the last few windows to improve things, it appears that Villa may splash out again. This time, by signing Inter Milan and Holland full-back Denzel Dumfries.

According to reports, Villa have joined the list of clubs interested in signing Dumfries from Inter Milan this summer. Inter are reportedly willing to cash in on the Dutchman and accept a bid of around £26 million to sell the right-back.

Dumfries has long been a target for big clubs, including Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag.

Indeed, Dumfries is said to be interested in moving to Old Trafford. However, if Villa can secure the final Champions League spot, Dumfries may be tempted to move to Villa Park.
