After fading from contention in the final round of the US Open, Tyrrell Hatton bounces back at LIV Golf Nashville for a maiden tour victory.

Englishman Tyrrell Hatton put the disappointment of a final round of seven-over in Pinehurst behind him, returning to the winner’s circle for the first time since January 2021 at LIV Golf Nashville.

Registering the second-lowest winning score in LIV Golf history (-19), Hatton destroyed the field in Nashville with a six-stroke buffer from Sam Horsfield which tied the second-lowest winning margin also. Hatton’s maiden individual LIV victory comes before his captain Jon Rahm’s first, returning to action after withdrawing from LIV Golf Houston and the US Open.

“Having not won for 3-1/2 years, you wonder if you’d be able to do it again in some way. It’s a pretty special feeling to win again,” said Hatton.

With the win, Hatton moves up to third in the individual standings behind Rahm and leader Joaquin Niemann, taking home $4 million in prize money, just $300,000 less than Bryson DeChambeau received for winning his second US Open.
