In the recent Challenge Cup final, Wigan’s academy graduate, Zach Eckersley, emerged as the hero by scoring a crucial try at Wembley. His performance was pivotal in securing Wigan’s victory over the Warrington Wolves. The 20-year-old was brought into the team due to Adam Keighran’s suspension and showed immense composure, indicating he was made for high-pressure matches.
Last weekend, another academy product, Jack Farrimond, showcased his exceptional skills against the London Broncos. The 18-year-old, who replaced the injured Jai Field, delivered a masterful performance, scoring two tries and assisting another. Nsemba made his debut for Wigan against Hull KR in 2022 and caught attention during last year’s Challenge Cup victory over Leeds Rhinos.

Nsemba has quickly established himself as one of the rising stars in the Super League. With 29 appearances for Wigan and three tries this season, he was considered for an England call-up for the mid-season international against France, although he missed out this time.
