Pro golfer Brooks koepka stands on tee at liv golf miami in 2023.
Brooks Koepka has already won two U.S. Open titles.
The last time the U.S. Open was at Pinehurst No. 2, Martin Kaymer won it. Ten years later, Kaymer is returning to the Donald Ross design as a member of LIV Golf, one of 13 qualifiers from the league.
Five of them, like Kaymer, are U.S. Open champs. While Kaymer won in 2014 (and is playing on the final year of his 10-year exemption), there’s also Dustin Johnson (2016), Brooks Koepka (2017, 2018), Bryson DeChambeau (2020) and Jon Rahm (2021).
Up until Monday, there were only a dozen LIV players in the U.S. Open field, but Sergio Garcia snagged one of the final qualifying spots as an alternate.
