
THE 2024 FA Community Shield Match Officials’ roster has been updated.
Jarred Gillett will now referee the 2024 FA Community Shield on Saturday following a minor injury sustained by John Brooks.Â
The traditional curtain-raiser for the new season between the winners of the Emirates FA Cup and the Premier League sees a Manchester derby on Saturday 10 August (3pm BST).
The rest of the team sees Adrian Holmes and Nick Greenhalgh as assistant referees.
Peter Bankes is the video assistant referee while the VAR team also sees Sian Massey-Ellis as assistant VAR and Tim Robinson as support VAR.
Pep Guardiola’s side will be aiming to win their fifth straight title this term while Erik ten Hag won’t have much of a challenge when trying to have a better year than last.
They meet in a game that is seen by some as a ‘glorified friendly’, but it gives a solid indication of how good a team can be ahead of the season.

The 2024 Community Shield will take place on Saturday, August 20.
It is being held at Wembley Stadium and kick-off is scheduled for 3pm.
