WIGAN WARRIORS Super League forward Robert McHugh returns to Wigan Warriors.May 23, 2024 Harvey Makin, Wigan Warriors The Wigan Warriors academy is among the most productive in the country. It continues to provide a steady supply of Super League-ready players.
This year, a number of Wigan youth have left the club on loan to help other teams and get first-team experience.
The Warriors feature one of the best front packs in the country, with some of the top talent. Tyler Dupree and Sam Walters, both England internationals, joined the club in 2023 to improve an already powerful pack. This means that players on the outskirts of the first team squad may find it difficult to break into the 21-man squad.
Sam Eseh recently did precisely that, having spent time on loan with Castleford Tigers. Back-rower Tiaki Chan recently joined Hull FC in the hopes of accomplishing the same, and Matt Peet has expressed appreciation for Chan’s approach to his time with the club.
Another player who was on loan away from the DW Stadium has now returned to the club.

Harvey Makin joined the London Broncos at the end of March. A message on the London website confirmed Makin’s return to Wigan.
