Rotherham United confirms player departures
Rotherham United manager Steve Evans has revealed the list of players who will be retained and released at the end of the 2023/24 season.
The team will undergo a big summer change, with 16 players expected to depart.
Steve Evans said, “There have been some honest and open discussions with players in and out of contract, and we have had to make some really difficult decisions.”
The club will also consider bids for Jamie McCart and Josh Kayode, who are both under contract but available for transfer.
Evans said that conversations had begun with Jamie Lindsay, whose contract was also set to end this summer. Meanwhile, the club has exercised an option to extend young professional Ciaran McGuckin’s contract by another year.
Evans stated, “Everyone in the building has been a pleasure to work with since I walked through the door, and those departing do so with our very best wishes.”
Andy Rinomhota, Arvin Appiah, Charlie Wyke, Femi Seriki, and Seb Revan will all return to their parent clubs after being on loan.
