The rising popularity of women’s basketball — both in the NCAA and the WNBA — can be attributed to a handful of extraordinary talents that have inspired a new generation of fans to tune in. Two of them, Paige Bueckers and Caitlin Clark, faced off in an intense Final Four matchup last season — in which Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes defeated Bueckers’ Connecticut Huskies to advance to the national championship game.

Nearly three months later, Clark is establishing herself as a rising star with the Indiana Fever , while Bueckers is gearing up for her final season at UConn before turning pro in 2025.
