Naz Reid of the Minnesota Timberwolves has been named the 2023-24 Kia NBA Sixth Man of the Year. This accolade marks a significant milestone as Reid becomes the first player from the Timberwolves to achieve this honor. Additionally, he joins the ranks of John Starks (1996-97) and Darrell Armstrong (1998-99) as one of the few players to win this award after not being selected in the NBA Draft.

His performance included a notable increase in three-pointers made, surpassing his combined total from the previous two seasons. Reid also demonstrated enhanced accuracy from beyond the arc, shooting a career-high 41.4%.
Reid’s contributions were instrumental in the Timberwolves’ success, aiding them in achieving the second-best record in franchise history with a 56-26 finish. Timberwolves Head Coach Chris Finch expressed pride in Reid’s achievement, highlighting his dedication to enhancing his skills during the offseason as a pivotal factor in earning this prestigious recognition.
In the voting, Sacramento Kings guard Malik Monk secured second place, while Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis claimed third place in the Sixth Man of the Year race.
