Mohammad Rizwan will miss the final two Twenty20 Internationals between Pakistan and New Zealand because of an injury.

A significant setback hit Pakistan Cricket as their key wicketkeeper, Mohammad Rizwan, has been sidelined for the fourth and fifth T20Is of the Pakistan-New Zealand series due to an injury he suffered during the third T20I on Sunday, April 21st.

Rizwan suffered the injury while batting and had to retire hurt. He didn’t return to the field for the rest of the game. The PCB confirmed that he would miss the remaining T20Is through a statement.

 

The statement disclosed the radiology reports of Rizwan and Mohammad Irfan Khan. After thorough assessment, the board opted to send both players for rehabilitation.

 

The statement from the PCB Medical Panel indicated that they had received radiology reports for Mohammad Rizwan and Mohammad Irfan Khan. After reviewing the reports and consulting with the Pakistan team management, it was decided that both players would be rested from Thursday’s and Saturday’s T20Is against New Zealand. Instead, they will focus on rehabilitation with the PCB Medical Panel at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

The Pakistan-New Zealand series has seen impressive performances from both teams. The first game ended in a washout with no result. However, Pakistan clinched a commanding victory in the second game, winning by seven wickets.

 

In the third T20I, Mark Chapman’s outstanding performance led the Black Caps to a remarkable victory, leveling the series. The final two T20Is of the series are scheduled to take place in Lahore on April 25th and 27th.

With the series tied at 1-1, both Pakistan and New Zealand will be eager to deliver strong performances, aiming to win the final two matches and secure victory in the series.
