Metallica Announces New Album and Global Tour for …
Metallica, one of the most legendary names in rock and metal, has just announced exciting plans for 2025. The band is gearing up to release a brand-new album, titled “Echoes of Eternity,” their first since the 2016 hit record Hardwired… to Self-Destruct. The album promises to deliver the heavy, intricate sound fans have come to expect while also exploring fresh territory in terms of composition and lyrical themes. Early rumors suggest a mix of fast, thrash-metal tracks and more experimental, progressive elements.
In conjunction with the album, Metallica will embark on a global tour starting in early June 2025. The tour, called “Masters of the Stage,” will take the band to over 40 cities across five continents, with massive shows in North America, Europe, and South America. Fans in Asia and Australia can also expect dates to be announced soon.
The band members—James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo—expressed their excitement to be back on the road. Hetfield, in a statement, said: “We’ve been working hard on new music, and we can’t wait to share it live. There’s nothing quite like the energy of our fans, and this tour will be something special.”
Fans can expect tickets to go on sale next month, with special VIP packages that include meet-and-greets and exclusive merchandise. Metallica also announced that a portion of the tour’s proceeds will be donated to their charity foundation, All Within My Hands, which focuses on supporting workforce education, hunger relief, and disaster response.
