Matteo Moretto’s Transfer Scoop: The Futures of Vitor Roque, Mario Hermoso, and Girona’s Seasonal Strategies

Vitor Roque’s discussions will persist despite ongoing negotiations with his agent. The situation remains somewhat ambiguous, and all involved parties will concentrate on reaching a resolution for the upcoming summer. Roque’s agent, Andre Cury, following his remarks on Catalan radio, will engage with Barcelona to determine the optimal course of action.

It’s evident that Xavi Hernandez doesn’t currently view Roque as a regular playing option and isn’t making his tenure at Barcelona as straightforward as it could be. Numerous teams, both domestic and international, are expressing interest in acquiring him on loan.

Cury maintains strong ties with Manchester United and a few other Premier League clubs. While Barcelona recently acquired Roque as a prospect for the future, they seem hesitant to part with him permanently. Therefore, a loan agreement might be the preferred option for them, although Cury has indicated they are not open to this possibility. Further discussions regarding Roque’s future are inevitable.

Regarding Aston Villa’s pursuit of another player, the destination seems closer to Saudi Arabia, but the deal is far from finalized. Atletico Madrid has informed central defender Mario Hermoso that they won’t extend his contract, signaling the conclusion of his tenure with the club at the end of the season. Several Saudi Arabian clubs have expressed interest in him and are actively engaging with his representatives. While Hermoso’s agent is exploring opportunities in other European leagues, no concrete developments have emerged yet.

In a separate scenario, Bayer Leverkusen, led by Xabi Alonso, has shown interest in Aleix Garcia, Girona’s captain and midfield linchpin. However, talks regarding a potential transfer are not currently advanced. While Leverkusen has been monitoring Garcia for some time, they haven’t made a concerted effort to secure his signature. Garcia views this as a significant opportunity, but it’s uncertain if Leverkusen will intensify their pursuit. Additionally, Barcelona does not prioritize Garcia at the moment.

As for Savio, a potential future Manchester City winger, Girona aims to retain him this summer. Their priorities include reacquiring Oriol Romeu, retaining Eric Garcia, and strengthening the team for the Champions League campaign, as stated by Michel.
