Manchester United want nothing less than £7m to part ways with Hannibal Mejbri

Manchester United are reportedly not willing to take anything less than £7m to offload midfielder Hannibal Mejbri this summer.

Hannibal has entered the final year of his contract with United and is believed to be one of the players United are open to selling in their bid to generate funds to bankroll incomings.

The Red Devils forked out around £8million to secure Hannibal’s services from AS Monaco in 2019. The player showed great promise in the academy but has found the step-up to senior football at Old Trafford slightly more difficult.

He had a fruitful loan spell in the Championship with Birmingham City during the 2022/23 campaign as he made 41 appearances for the However, last term, Hannibal’s career progress was hampered by a disastrous loan move to Spain with Sevilla. He quickly fell out of favour at Sevilla, with then-manager Quique Sanchez Flores often overlooking him. At the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium, the Tunisia international played only six times.

A recent report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that Scottish giants Rangers were in advanced negotiations to land Hannibal.

This is after Rangers boss Philippe Clément was left impressed by the player’s performance when the two sides met earlier this month in a pre-season clash at Murrayfield Stadium.
