Ipswich Town made a triumphant return to the Premier League after 22 years, clinching automatic promotion by defeating Huddersfield Town 2-0. Kieran McKenna, leading the team, achieved consecutive promotions with Ipswich, following last season’s second-place finish in League One.
Portman Road, their home stadium, has undergone significant changes since their last Premier League appearance in 2002. In the early 2000s, upgrades increased the stadium’s capacity to nearly 30,000. Recent renovations include improvements to the concourses, introduction of safe standing sections, and installation of an LED screen in the South East corner, enhancing the fan experience for the upcoming 2024/25 Premier League season.
