Leicester City and Middlesbrough are reportedly keen on securing the services of former Ghana youth international, Baidoo, as they prepare for the upcoming season. Hull City and Luton Town have also shown interest in the 25-year-old midfielder ahead of the summer transfer window.

Baidoo has been a standout player for Swedish club Elfsborg since his arrival in 2022. With his contract running until June 2025, Elfsborg are not in immediate need to sell unless a compelling offer is presented. The club is likely to face a challenge in retaining Baidoo due to growing interest from various clubs.

According to Fotbolldirekt, Baidoo has attracted attention from Championship clubs and teams in the USA, Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. His future remains uncertain as multiple clubs are evaluating their options.

Baidoo began his career in Ghana with Vision FC before moving to Denmark to join Midtjylland’s academy. He progressed through their ranks and made his first-team debut as a teenager. To gain more experience, he had loan spells at FC Fredericia and Jerv, the latter of which signed him permanently in 2020. He later played for Sandnes Ulf before joining Elfsborg.

During his tenure with Elfsborg, Baidoo has made 65 appearances across all competitions, contributing 17 goals and 11 assists. Leicester City, having just secured promotion to the Premier League, see Baidoo as a potential addition to their squad. However, they may face competition from second-tier clubs who can offer him more regular playing time.

Middlesbrough and Hull City, both aiming for a top-six finish next season after narrowly missing out on the play-offs, are also in the race. Hull City is particularly keen on strengthening their squad as they search for a new manager following the departure of Liam Rosenior.

Luton Town, having been relegated from the Premier League after just one season, are looking to rebuild under Rob Edwards. The next few months will be crucial for the club as they aim to reinforce their squad and return to the top flight.

Baidoo’s potential move is set to be one of the intriguing storylines of the summer transfer window, with several clubs eager to add his talent and versatility to their ranks.
