Leeds United target Ben Johnson is ‘ready to snub’ West Ham’s offer of a new contract this summer, as reported by the Sunday People (via GlasgowWorld).
A number of teams are interested in signing the defender before the upcoming season on a free transfer, including Leeds United. The full-back’s contract expires at the end of next month, and as he hasn’t signed an extension, he will currently be a free agent.
West Ham has extended a new contract offer to Johnson, 24, in an effort to secure his long-term commitment. He is considering his options, though, and could leave right away to take up a new challenge. According to the Sunday People’s (via GlasgowWorld) most recent report on his future, the player may decline the opportunity to remain at the London Stadium in the face of interest from the Whites, Rangers, Wolves, and Crystal Palace. There appear to be several unidentified Championship sides up for his autograph as well.
