The Indiana Fever have been making roster adjustments during the WNBA free agency period. Forward Katie Lou Samuelson’s contract was bought out, placing her on waivers. If unclaimed, she will become an unrestricted free agent.
Additionally, guard Erica Wheeler, who played as the team’s backup point guard last season, is also an unrestricted free agent, with her future at the Fever still uncertain.
These roster changes are part of the team’s efforts to strengthen their lineup around key players like Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, and Kelsey Mitchell. They have also acquired experienced players such as DeWanna Bonner, Natasha Howard, and Sophie Cunningham to boost their squad.
Currently, the Fever have two open roster spots and about $117,000 in cap space. However, this amount is not enough to sign two players at the league minimum salary for those with 0-2 years of experience. Unless additional roster moves are made, the team may begin the season with 11 pla
