The Indiana Fever has announced changes to their 2025 road matchups against the Chicago Sky. Both games, originally set to be played at Wintrust Arena, will now take place at the larger United Center in Chicago. The venue change comes as part of an effort to accommodate higher fan interest and enhance the game-day experience for supporters of both teams.
Along with the relocation, one of the scheduled games has also been moved to a new date. The matchup originally set for Saturday, July 26, will now be played on Sunday, July 27. Despite the date change, the game’s start time remains the same at 3 p.m. ET. Meanwhile, the first contest between the two teams will proceed as planned on Saturday, June 7, with tipoff scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.
This isn’t the only time Indiana’s road games have been moved to larger venues this season. Recently, the Fever’s two away games against the Washington Mystics were relocated from their usual home at Entertainment & Sports Arena to CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore. Those matchups are set to take place on May 28 and September 7, marking another instance of the team playing in a bigger venue due to increasing fan demand.
These scheduling adjustments reflect the growing excitement surrounding the Fever and the WNBA as a whole. The shift to larger arenas allows more fans to experience the action in person, highlighting the league’s rising popularity. With the Fever boasting an exciting roster and Chicago Sky fans eager for high-energy matchups, these games at the United Center are expected to draw significant crowds.
As the 2025 season approaches, Fever fans can look forward to thrilling matchups both at home and on the road. With key games being moved to bigger stages, it’s clear that enthusiasm for the team and the league continues to soar.
