The Indiana Fever are set for significant changes this offseason, making the WNBA Draft crucial for their future success.
What Picks Do the Indiana Fever Have in the 2025 WNBA Draft?
Following their playoff appearance, the Fever will not have a chance at the No. 1 pick in the lottery. The top four picks will be determined on December 10, but we know the Golden State Valkyries will select fifth. Consequently, the Fever, holding all three of their picks, will have the eighth selection in each round.
Round 1 — No. 8 overall
Round 2 — No. 20 overall
Round 3 — No. 33 overall
Indiana Fever Draft Needs and Possible Targets
With NaLyssa Smith’s turbulent season making her a potential trade candidate, the Fever should seek to strengthen their frontcourt. Ideally, they need a player who can contribute defensively and provide outside shooting. Additionally, defensive help is needed across various positions, with shooting ability being a valuable asset.
The latest mock drafts suggest the Fever might choose Notre Dame forward Maddy Westbeld, who averaged 15.6 points and 9.5 rebounds last season with a 36.8% three-point shooting rate. Another possibility is UCLA forward Janiah Barker, who posted averages of 12.2 points and 7.6 rebounds with 34.3% from beyond the arc.
Other potential second-round targets could include Utah guard Gianna Kneepkens, known for her shooting, or point guard Rori Harmon, an aggressive defender who would complement Caitlin Clark in the backcourt.
As the women’s college basketball season has yet to begin, draft boards may shift as new prospects emerge before the Fever’
s selections in April.
