With 14 years of expertise in sports communications and public relations, Maynard brings a wealth of experience to the Indiana Fever after dedicating the past 12 seasons to professional women’s sports. Reporting directly to Fever COO and General Manager Amber Cox, Maynard will spearhead basketball communications for the team, crafting departmental strategies and serving as the key liaison between the franchise and the media.

A Rochester, N.Y. native, Maynard joins the Fever after nine successful seasons with Orlando City SC of Major League Soccer and the Orlando Pride of the NWSL. As head of communications, she managed media strategies for both teams, their MLS NEXT Pro franchise, and events at Inter&Co Stadium. Her tenure was marked by innovation and success, including securing the inaugural NWSL Communications Team of the Year award for a 121% surge in global media coverage.
Maynard’s accomplishments extend beyond media relations. She played an instrumental role in projects like the opening of two training facilities and the $155 million Inter&Co Stadium. She also led communications for major events such as the 2019 MLS All-Star Game, multiple U.S. Soccer matches, the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games, and preparations for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, showcasing her ability to manage high-profile engagements with precision.
Beginning her career in 2013 with the Western New York Flash, Maynard has worked with legendary athletes such as Marta, Alex Morgan, Abby Wambach, and Carli Lloyd. Her experience spans not only professional soccer but also the NHL and collegiate athletics, underscoring her versatility and ability to navigate diverse sports landscapes. With this extensive background, Maynard is poised to elevate the Fever’s communications to new heights.
