In addition to his work with the Connecticut Sun, Porter serves as the Head Coach for the Kosovo Heritage Basketball Academy. Located in Pristina, Kosovo, the academy focuses on developing over 400 players each year, further showcasing Porter’s commitment to nurturing talent at all levels. Porter’s journey in basketball began at the University of Connecticut Avery Point, where he played two seasons of Division III basketball. During his time there, he led the nation in scoring, earned All-American honors, and was later inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame. Following his college career, Porter continued his basketball journey by playing professionally in Spain and Puerto Rico, gaining international experience that adds to his well-rounded coaching perspective.
