The Daily Mail claims that although Manchester City has not yet made an official proposal for Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi, they are genuinely interested in the Japanese international and may make a move in the near future.
The Argentine forward Julian Alvarez, whom the Premier League team sold to Atletico Madrid for £82 million, may be replaced by the 29-year-old Hoops star.
With the Celtic star’s willingness to join Man City, personal terms would not be an issue. According to the Daily Mail, the Parkhead club would seek a sum of approximately £20 million for his talents.
They maintain that if the English behemoths arrived at the negotiating table with more than £20 million, Celtic would not likely object to any transaction.
The amount Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly willing to pay for Denmark international midfielder Matt O’Riley is not as high as the initial £25 million (plus bonuses and a sell-on clause) that the Bhoys received from the sales of Jota and Kieran Tierney, but it might be alluring enough for Celtic.

Kyogo was signed by Celtic for a contract for £4.5 million in July 2021, thus the chance to earn about five times that amount would be profitable.
