When a movie star becomes successful enough, it’s only a matter of time before they venture out into different areas of interest. And because they already have so much popularity and a built-in platform, these celebs can count on plenty of fan engagement with their latest venture. However, Johnny Depp discovered what a double-edged sword this fan interest can be when critics and audiences alike dubbed his attempt to become an artist (complete with a recent NYC art exhibit) as a creative failure.

If you live in New York or can make a quick trip, it’s easy enough to judge Johnny Depp’s turn as an artist for yourself. His exhibition opened last Friday on West 27th Street under the rather dubious name “A Bunch of Stuff.”
