Caitlin Clark has witnessed the Indiana Fever making significant moves during WNBA free agency. The team has strengthened its defense by acquiring experienced veterans Natasha Howard and DeWanna Bonner, while also boosting its offense with the addition of sharpshooter Sophie Cunningham.
However, with these new signings, the team has had to say goodbye to some familiar faces. On Wednesday, Indiana lost a beloved player as guard Erica Wheeler signed with the Seattle Storm.
Wheeler shared a heartfelt farewell message on social media, writing, “This next chapter will be a chapter that will WRITE itself! It’s not about money or anything! Only work! I just need to let God do his work thru me!”
Fans of the Fever and the WNBA expressed their sadness over Wheeler’s departure. Many took to social media to share their thoughts:
