Luke Berry, a former Barnsley midfielder, and Fred Onyedinma, an ex-Rotherham United loanee, are among the Luton Town players moving this summer.
Despite a brave fight to stay in the Premier League, the Hatters were relegated in the 2023/24 season. Luton have dismissed five senior players as they prepare to return to the Championship.
Berry and Onyedinma are set to leave, as are Dan Potts, Elliot Thorpe, and Admiral Muskwe, whose contracts will expire.
In a statement, Luton stated: “We thank all of the players who are leaving us for their service to the club at all levels, and wish them the very best for their future careers.”
Berry spent the 2014/15 season with Barnsley, making 37 appearances and scoring two goals.
Berry issued a farewell statement via the Luton website, saying: “To every manager, coach, and teammate, thank you so much for making this the best seven years of my life.
“Thank you to the board for spending the money to bring me here, and especially to the medical and sports science staff who have helped me recover from injuries, get fit, and stay fit to fulfil a kid’s dream of playing in the Premier League.”

Rotherham United’s summer recruitment frenzy continues with the arrival of a League One title winner at the New York Stadium on Friday.
Sean Raggett, a 31-year-old centre-back who made 44 appearances in all competitions for Portsmouth as they won League One last season, became former Peterborough United manager Steve Evans’ fifth acquisition when he agreed to a two-year contract yesterday.
He joins forward Jonson Clarke-Harris, left back Reece James, midfielder Shaun McWilliams, and right back Joe Rafferty as new Millers players. Rafferty was also part of Pompey’s winning squad last season, and Clarke-Harris (Posh) and James (Sheffield Wednesday) have also been promoted from League One.
In League One, Stevenage, who have confirmed Alex Revell as Steve Evans’ replacement as manager, have signed forward Louis Appere, who was out of contract at Northampton Town.
Newly promoted Stockport County have signed midfielder/defender Jay Mingi from Colchester United for an undisclosed amount.
