Chelsea captain Conor Gallagher has addressed the young supporter at the Emirates Stadium who called for the players to show more dedication to the team’s emblem during their defeat to Arsenal. The Blues suffered a heavy 5-0 loss at the Emirates Stadium, with Arsenal dominating the match and staying competitive in the Premier League title race.
As Chelsea’s situation deteriorated on the field, television cameras captured a young fan holding a sign that expressed the sentiment: “I don’t want your shirt, I want you to fight for yours.”
When asked by TNT Sport about his thoughts on the fan’s message, Gallagher replied, “We are indeed putting in the effort, and I understand how much it means to all of us. Our squad is quite young and lacks experience in the Premier League as a collective unit. As evident this season, we’ve had our share of highs and lows.””
We’re continuously growing and collaborating as a team to reach the next level. Today was one of those days when we fell far short of our standard. We need to regroup, analyze our performance, identify areas for improvement, and rectify the mistakes we made,” Gallagher Âadded.
