Caitlin Clark’s rookie campaign has cemented itself as one of the most remarkable in WNBA history, earning her a spot on the All-WNBA First Team. She joined the ranks of seasoned stars like unanimous MVP A’ja Wilson, Napheesa Collier, Alyssa Thomas, and Breanna Stewart. To celebrate this milestone, the Indiana Fever shared a video where Clark reflects on her stellar season, with insights from Fever coach Christie Sides and Iowa coach Lisa Bluder, praising her elite performance.
Indiana Fever’s X account shared: “She’s in the company of some of the greatest players in this league.” Clark averaged 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game, leading the league in assists and three-pointers made, which helped secure her All-WNBA First Team status. Sides highlighted Clark’s achievements, remarking, “She’s in the company of some of the greatest players in the league. She’s just doing things that special players can do.”
Clark’s selection makes her the first rookie since Candace Parker in 2008 to make the First Team—an elite group that includes Sue Bird, Tamika Catchings, and Diana Taurasi. She received 52 first-team votes, ranking fourth overall and finishing fourth in MVP voting. With 122 three-pointers—second-most in a single season—her contributions were pivotal, earning her the WNBA Rookie of the Year title.
Alongside teammates Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston, Clark transformed the Indiana Fever’s fortunes, overcoming a rough 1-8 start to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2016. Although they fell to the Connecticut Sun in the opening round, Clark’s rookie season builds anticipation for an even brighter future, following her record-setting collegiate run with Iowa. Her sophomore year promises more accolades as she continues to elevate her game.
