Will Mannion, a former AFC Wimbledon prospect, is someone who Charlton Athletic is interested in bringing into their team.
This summer, the 26-year-old goalie will be free to sign with any team.
Cambridge United had extended Mannion’s contract, but it appears like he will soon move on.
According to information obtained by The South London Press, Charlton intends to add two goalkeepers during the summer transfer window in addition to seeking an experienced player to compete for the starting spot.
Mannion participated in all nine of the League One season’s games as the U’s successfully maintained their status in the competition.
At the age of sixteen, he signed with Wimbledon. In July of 2016, he chose to sign a three-year contract with Hull City, with an initial £100,000 fee determined by a tribunal.
Mannion has two U19 caps under his belt.
Charlton already has two goalkeepers signed for the next season: Ashley Maynard-Brewer and Harry Isted. However, Jones is committed to modernising that division.

The 47-year-old is already the head of early years and primary schools for the Seasiders’ Community Trust, and during his playing career was at Bloomfield Road between 2006 and 2007.
It is intended that the new committee will provide support and experience to the girls youth team and open-age squad at the Fylde Coast club.
Discussing his new role, Joseph said: “I am delighted to be part of the Blackpool FC Girls and Ladies Committee and honoured to be named chairperson.
“We want the ladies’ and girls’ setup to promote an inclusive community culture that is inclusive of all abilities, all while providing a fun and friendly atmosphere.” In the near future, we want to stabilise the club, give the newly elected committee some time to get settled in, and concentrate on the amazing and talented individuals we already have associated with Blackpool FC Girls and Ladies.
“As a committee, we aim to establish avenues for girls to proudly don the Tangerine of Blackpool while they pursue greatness both on and off the pitch.”
