Tranmere Rovers are set to participate in the upcoming Carabao Cup Round One draw, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports News on Thursday, June 27 at 11:30 AM. Hosted by Dharmesh Sheth, the draw will feature 70 clubs from the Sky Bet Championship, Sky Bet League One, and Sky Bet League Two. Tranmere Rovers will be represented by ball number 35.
This year’s competition sees Burnley, Luton Town, and 13 Premier League clubs that are not involved in European competitions entering in Round Two. The remaining seven Premier League clubs will join in Round Three. To maintain regional balance, the early rounds of the Carabao Cup are divided into southern and northern sections.

Round One matches are scheduled to take place during the week commencing August 12. The competition format ensures that matches in all rounds are single-legged, except for the semi-finals. If scores are level after 90 minutes in the early rounds, the outcome will be decided by penalty kicks. Extra time will only be played in the semi-final second legs and the final if scores are level after normal time.
Starting from the 2024/25 season, Sky Sports will broadcast every Carabao Cup match live in the UK under a new record domestic rights deal. International fans can also watch all matches via live streaming on club platforms.
In other Tranmere Rovers news, the club has announced several updates and events, including the return of the Open Day at Prenton Park on July 14 and the signing of striker Josh Davison on a two-year contract from AFC Wimbledon. Additionally, the club is opening trial applications for under-14 and under-15 boys for their Elite Development Centre.
