WNBA rookie sensation Caitlin Clark struggled to keep a low profile while grabbing drinks at a Swig drive-thru with her Indiana Fever teammate, Lexie Hull.
During the team’s offseason, Clark and Hull treated themselves to sugary drinks at the popular soda shop. In a TikTok video posted by Hull, Clark is seen attempting to conceal herself under a hoodie while ordering. However, the Swig employee quickly recognized the WNBA Rookie of the Year, asking, “You’re Caitlin Clark, right?”
Clark, sitting in the passenger seat, playfully replied, “Maybe,” trying to suppress her laughter. The store manager, who took over their order, presented Clark with a golden mug, saying, “A golden mug means every time you come to Swig, you get a free refill.”
Clark ordered two drinks—a “Spring Fling” with vanilla cream and a “Beach Wave”—while Hull opted for a “Raspberry Dream” and a “Summer Splash.” They later asked the manager for his favorite drink, to which he recommended the “Jolly Old Elf.”
Clark’s rise to fame began with a stellar college career, leading to her selection as the No. 1 pick in the WNBA Draft by the Fever. Her rookie season was a success, as she helped the Fever reach the playoffs for the first time since 2016. She set records, including breaking the WNBA rookie scoring record with a 35-point game and surpassing Alyssa Thomas’ single-season assist record with 337 assists.
Even in the Fever’s season-ending loss to the Connecticut Sun, Clark made history, recording 25 points, 9 assists, and 6 rebounds—becoming the first rookie to achieve a 25-5-5 stat line in the postseason.
