Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark will join legendary TV host David Letterman for a special conversation at Ball State University in December. As part of Letterman’s Distinguished Professional Lecture and Workshop Series, this event offers an exciting opportunity for students, staff, and the local community to hear from two prominent figures from the world of sports and entertainment.
Clark, who became a national sensation during her college career with the Iowa Hawkeyes, is now a standout rookie in the WNBA after being drafted by the Indiana Fever in 2024. During her time at Iowa, Clark led the Hawkeyes to two NCAA championship games, set the record for the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer, and earned numerous accolades. In her debut WNBA season, Clark quickly made her mark by setting rookie records for most points, assists, and three-pointers, while also setting a WNBA single-season assist record and winning the prestigious WNBA Rookie of the Year title.
The conversation with Letterman, a Ball State alumnus and former host of The Late Show, will take place at Emens Auditorium on December 2, 2024, at 7 p.m. University President Geoffrey S. Mearns expressed his excitement for the event, saying, “I anticipate their conversation will be very special. On behalf of Ball State, we are honored to host them.”
Details on ticket distribution for the event will be released at a later date. This unique opportunity to hear from two influential figures promises to be a memorable evening for the Ball State community.
