Breaking News: Nightwish Announces New Album “Ethereal Odyssey” with a Bold New Direction
Symphonic metal giants Nightwish have officially announced the release of their highly anticipated 10th studio album, Ethereal Odyssey, set to drop in March 2025. This marks the band’s first major project since 2020’s Human. :||: Nature., and fans are already buzzing about the bold new direction teased by the group.
In a statement released on their social media, keyboardist and main composer Tuomas Holopainen described the album as “a celestial journey through soundscapes we’ve never explored before, blending symphonic elements with cinematic and progressive twists.” Holopainen hinted that the album would feature a 20-minute epic centerpiece, a signature move for the band.
Lead vocalist Floor Jansen also expressed her excitement:
