Blackburn Rovers have added two more friendlies against League Two teams to their pre-season lineup. Under the guidance of head coach John Eustace, the squad will play Tranmere Rovers in two 60-minute matches behind closed doors on Saturday, July 13.
Following this, the team will travel to Austria for a week-long training camp. Their next friendly is against Morecambe at the Mazuma Stadium on Friday, July 26, with kickoff set for 7:30 pm. Details regarding ticket sales for this match will be released soon. Additionally, Rovers are planning to announce another friendly in Austria in the near future.
Here’s the updated pre-season schedule for Blackburn Rovers:
– Accrington Stanley at Wham Stadium on Saturday, July 6 (2 pm, two 60-minute matches)
– Tranmere Rovers behind closed doors on Saturday, July 13 (two 60-minute matches, KO time not specified)
– Morecambe at Mazuma Mobile Stadium on Friday, July 26 (7:30 pm)

Eustace aims to build on last season’s finish, where Blackburn Rovers secured their Championship safety on the final day with a win against Leicester, the league champions. This will be Eustace’s first pre-season since taking over as head coach in February, following Jon Dahl Tomasson’s departure. The Championship season kicks off on the weekend of August 10, with the fixture list to be revealed on Wednesday, June 26, at 9 am.
