The Championship duo are keen on bringing Tom Cannon back to the second tier next season.
Even though Leicester City lost to Blackburn Rovers on the last day, they raised the Championship trophy on Saturday afternoon. For the Foxes, Saturday was only a celebration day because, of course, their divisional championship had already been decided upon before the game began.
The team now has a challenging summer ahead of their return to the top flight, though, as they must strike a balance between bolstering their roster and addressing rumored financial concerns in order to prevent dropping back to the second division. The club’s present players will also need to make a number of decisions, with some probably moving on.
Others, such as Tom Cannon, may choose to stay or depart based on what the team believes is best for his progress. Only last summer, the Foxes reportedly paid £8 million to sign him, but he only made 13 league games for the team due to an early injury that hindered his growth.
Cannon has been a bench warmer 12 times this season, thus his lack of play was not always a result of his fitness.
