Barcelona Femení have earned a spot in the Women’s Champions League final after defeating Chelsea in the semi-finals. Despite losing the first leg 1-0 in Barcelona, they bounced back in the return leg in London with a 2-1 victory, advancing on aggregate.
Aitana Bonmatí brought Barcelona level on aggregate with a goal in the 25th minute. She dribbled past a defender at the edge of the box and slotted a low shot into the far corner of the net.
Chelsea’s situation worsened when Kadeisha Buchanan received a red card, reducing the team to ten players for the final 30 minutes. Barcelona capitalized on the advantage, with Aitana winning a penalty that Fridolina Rolfo converted, ensuring the victory and securing a place in the Champions League final for Barcelona Femení.
