An Argentinian waiter has come forward with details about his time with the late Liam Payne, admitting that they consumed drugs together before the singer’s tragic death. Braian Nahuel Paiz, 24, has acknowledged sharing cocaine and whiskey with the former One Direction star during two meetings in Buenos Aires but firmly denies accusations of supplying drugs or accepting money for them. Despite being arrested in connection with the investigation, Paiz maintains that he did not play a role in Payne’s fatal fall from a hotel balcony.
Paiz revealed that he first met Liam Payne at a restaurant in Puerto Madero just days before the singer’s death. The two spent the night drinking whiskey and using cocaine, according to Paiz. However, Paiz insisted that he never sold drugs to Liam, nor did he accept any payment in exchange for them. He also emphasized that the drugs were already present in the hotel room when they met for the second time, a few days before Liam’s death. Despite the substance use, Paiz claimed that Liam was kind and respectful during their encounters and even attempted to give him a Rolex as a gift, which Paiz declined.
In an exclusive interview, Paiz explained that Liam had already consumed drugs when they first met at the restaurant. Paiz recalled Liam approaching him for his contact details and later reaching out to arrange a meeting in his hotel room. He also shared that their second meeting involved more alcohol and drug use, but once again, he never accepted money or other gifts from the singer. Paiz clarified that although Liam offered him money for the drugs, he refused, as he had no intention of profiting from their time together.
In a public Instagram post after Liam’s death, Paiz shared a tribute to the singer, thanking him for the time they spent together and expressing his sorrow over the loss. This post, along with Paiz’s involvement in the investigation, sparked strong reactions from Liam’s fans, some of whom accused him of contributing to the tragic event. Despite this backlash, Paiz has remained adamant in his defense, asserting that he is not responsible for Liam’s death and that he never acted as a drug dealer.
Paiz’s involvement in the case, along with two other individuals, including a hotel worker and a close friend of Liam’s, remains under investigation by Argentinian authorities. While Paiz continues to assert his innocence, the ongoing probe has left many questions unanswered about the circumstances leading up to the tragic fall that took Liam Payne’s life at the age of 31.
