CNN’s Ana Navarro recently criticized Elon Musk’s close involvement with President-Elect Donald Trump, calling it “weird” and suggesting Musk acts almost like Trump’s “First Lady.” Navarro referenced a photo from election night featuring Trump, his family, and Musk—but without Melania Trump. She expressed concern over Musk’s influence, especially given his ties to defense contracts and Starlink’s role in Ukraine.
Following Trump’s election, Musk joined a call with Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. According to Axios, Musk assured Zelensky of continued internet support in Ukraine via Starlink. Republican strategist Scott Jennings defended Musk’s participation, suggesting Trump can involve whomever he chooses in these conversations.
