Lyle Taylor is keen to return to AFC Wimbledon. The striker, 34, is a free agent after leaving Cambridge United at the end of the season.
Taylor has long been connected with a return to the Dons, where he scored 55 goals and provided 21 assists in 150 games.
His performances for Wimbledon led to his being signed by Charlton Athletic, where he scored 36 goals in 67 appearances, 25 of which came in the League One play-off winning season of 2018-19.
Then, that summer, Addicks owner Roland Duchatelet rejected a proposal from Brentford and failed to sign Taylor to new terms.
Taylor then scored 11 times in 22 Championship games before the Covid-19 pandemic halted domestic football for several months.
When play resumed, the Montserrat international elected not to play for fear of jeopardising a move as his contract was about to expire. Taylor joined with Nottingham Forest in August 2020.
Taylor scored 23 goals and provided seven assists as Wimbledon won the League Two play-offs in 2016.
He opened the score in the final against Plymouth Argyle.
