Danhausen, a well-known AEW star, has recently stirred up speculation about his future with a cryptic message on social media. The former Ring of Honor (ROH) standout has been notably absent from AEW television since December of last year. His last appearance was during a special Thanksgiving episode of “AEW Dynamite,” where he briefly reunited with Orange Cassidy. Since then, Danhausen has been active on the independent wrestling scene, even capturing the GCW World Championship, though his reign was short-lived as he lost the title to Matt Cardona moments after winning it. His latest Instagram post has left fans wondering if his time with AEW might be coming to an end.

In his enigmatic post, Danhausen wrote, “I answer to none. I belong nowhere. I believe in nothing except myself.” This statement has only added to the swirling rumors about his potential departure from AEW. Danhausen’s journey with AEW began in January 2022 after ROH went on hiatus in December 2021. At the time of his signing, he was one of the most buzzed-about talents on the independent circuit, known for his humorous antics and interactions with stars like CM Punk at various conventions. Upon joining AEW, he was quickly paired with Orange Cassidy and The Best Friends.

Throughout his AEW tenure, Danhausen has had a couple of title opportunities, though neither was successful. His first shot was an FTW title match against Ricky Starks, which he lost in just a minute and a half. Later, during the AEW Revolution event last year, he and Orange Cassidy competed in a fatal four-way match for the AEW Tag Team Championships but did not secure the win. Unfortunately, during this match, Danhausen suffered a torn pectoral muscle, sidelining him until November.

Danhausen’s most recent participation in AEW came at the “AEW Worlds End” event in December, where he competed in a battle royal for a cash-in contract at the TNT Championship. The match was ultimately won by Killswitch, marking Danhausen’s last in-ring appearance for the company. Fans have been eagerly awaiting updates on his status, especially in light of his recent social media activity.

The wrestling community is abuzz with theories and speculation about what Danhausen’s next move might be. His cryptic Instagram message has left many questioning whether he will return to AEW or seek opportunities elsewhere. As he continues to engage with fans and work on the independent scene, all eyes are on Danhausen to see where his unique career will take him next.
