Exciting updates await participants of The Long Walk 2024, an iconic event associated with the annual Dreamtime at the ‘G clash between Essendon and Richmond. This year, the walk will embark on a new route, commencing from Yarra Park, setting a vibrant tone for the event.

As thousands of walkers join Michael Long and esteemed dignitaries in championing First Nations rights, the pre-walk festivities promise a dynamic experience. Attendees can immerse themselves in live performances by leading Indigenous artists, indulge in family-friendly activities, and relish delectable offerings from food trucks, creating an atmosphere of celebration and unity.

The symbolic journey will kick off at 5:30pm sharp from Yarra Park, tracing a path to the hallowed grounds of the MCG, where the culmination of the walk will take place. Football enthusiasts are encouraged to partake in this significant event preceding Dreamtime at the ‘G, showing solidarity with Long’s noble cause and fostering a sense of community spirit.
