Jimmy Butler expressed his desire to participate in the NBA playoffs despite the uncertainty surrounding his return due to a sprained MCL. The Miami Heat star shared his thoughts during an interview with TNT while observing his team’s game against the Boston Celtics. He sustained the injury during the Play-In Tournament against Philadelphia and has been absent for all four subsequent Heat games.
Butler emphasized his eagerness to return to the court, although he couldn’t provide a specific timeline for his recovery. Initially expected to be out for several weeks, Butler played through the injury for most of the game against Philadelphia before the severity became apparent.
Although receiving ongoing treatment, there’s no definitive update on when Butler might resume playing. Miami is also missing point guard Terry Rozier due to a neck injury during this series.
Despite these challenges, Butler expressed confidence in his team, recalling their unexpected journey to the NBA Finals last year as the eighth seed. He noted that while outsiders may doubt them, the Heat remain steadfast in their belief and determination.
