Tranmere Rovers Football Club has opened applications for trials for their new Elite Development Centre, targeting boys in the under-14 and under-15 age groups. This initiative, starting in September 2024, aims to provide advanced football training and match opportunities for young players.

– Under-14 Trials:
– Dates: Monday, 1st July and Monday, 15th July
– Time: 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM

– Under-15 Trials:
– Dates: Tuesday, 2nd July and Tuesday, 16th July
– Time: 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM
– Location: The Campus, Leasowe
Players will train twice weekly and have the opportunity to play in fixtures on Saturdays. The programme includes matches against local academies and international teams, allowing players to maintain their involvement with grassroots clubs.
Training will be based on the FA’s 4 Corner Model, focusing on tactical, technical, social, physical, and psychological development. The programme will be delivered by UEFA qualified coaches, with the aim to enhance local football provisions and introduce players to the club’s development methods.
The Elite Development Centre will adopt a ‘pay to play’ model, ensuring access to high-quality coaching and competitive matches. The programme will expand over the next two years to include age groups from under-12 to under-16.
