Tranmere Rovers Football Club has opened applications for trials for their new Elite Development Centre aimed at under-14 and under-15 boys. This initiative, starting in September 2024, offers a comprehensive training and match program for young players.
Trial Details:
– Under-14 Trials:

– Time: 5pm to 6.30pm
– Location: The Campus in Leasowe
– For players in School Year 9
– Under-15 Trials:
– Dates: Tuesday 2nd July and Tuesday 16th July
– Time: 5pm to 6.30pm
– Location: The Campus in Leasowe

Players will train twice a week and play fixtures on Saturdays. The program allows players to continue with their local grassroots teams and includes competitive matches against local academies and international teams. Training and home games will take place at The Campus, the first team’s training ground.
Training Model:
– The program follows the FA’s 4 Corner Model, focusing on technical, tactical, physical, psychological, and social development.
– UEFA qualified coaches will provide high-quality football education.
– The model aims to enhance football provision in Wirral and give young players a preview of the club’s advanced training methods.
The initiative marks a shift from the EPPP, adopting a ‘pay to play’ structure. The club plans to expand the model to include age groups from under-12 to under-16 over the next two years.
