Caitlin Clark, the star of the Indiana Fever, has become notorious for her playful antics on social media, where she is known to frequently target her teammates and friends with lighthearted jabs. This reputation for trolling isn’t new, as Clark’s social media presence often includes teasing her inner circle with witty remarks and humorous critiques.
One of her more recent targets was Tyrese Haliburton, the All-Star guard for the Indiana Pacers. Clark cheekily mocked his toes, which sparked an amusingly indignant response from Haliburton’s girlfriend, Jade Jones, who voiced her disapproval in the comments. Clark’s knack for stirring the pot was on full display in this instance, showcasing her humorous interactions with other professional athletes.
On another occasion, Clark turned her playful attention to her former Iowa teammates, Jada Gyamfi and Hannah Stuelke, after the two posted a TikTok video of themselves dancing. Rather than join in on the fun or offer praise for their moves, Clark took a more mischievous route. Commenting on their video, she suggested, “More film and sleeping. Less TikTok,” a remark that was aimed at redirecting their focus away from social media antics.
Gyamfi, whose TikTok video had sparked Clark’s playful commentary, responded with her own humorous threat: “I’m so close to blocking you on socials.” Despite the teasing, it’s clear that their bond remains strong, and the playful back-and-forth was all in good fun. There seems to be little chance of anyone actually blocking anyone else—at least not yet.
The camaraderie between Clark, Gyamfi, and Stuelke, who all played together at Iowa, remains evident even after Clark’s departure for the WNBA. Although their time together at Iowa was brief—just two seasons—it’s clear they forged a lasting friendship, one that allows for banter and jest, even if it means a little social media trolling along the way.
